Et ça continue... Celle-là fût une énorme surprise. Ce n'est que la 5ème fois qu'elle est vue en Islande et on se demande comment elle a atterrie ici, car cette espèce ne migre pas beaucoup. La dernière fois qu'elle a été vue en Islande, c'était en 1989. Ce fût donc une grande nouvelle et nous sommes tous (tous les ornithologues) allés la voir. Elle avait été vue quelques jours auparavant, mais nous ne l'avons su que jeudi dernier car les gens se doutaient qu'ils auraient alors une colonie de photographes dans leur jardin ;-) Elle, c'était une mésange charbonnière! Incroyable hein... Ce fût la 102ème espèce de l'année, et la 132ème en Islande.

It just does not stop! This one was a big surprise. it's only the 5th time she had been seen in Iceland and the last time was in 1989. We just wonder how she arrived there as she is not one of this big migrant bird. Everybody was so excited about it. So we all went to see her on Thursday. It had been seen few days before but people knew they would have thousands of bird watcher and photographers in their garden. Her, it was the 5th great tit observed in Iceland. It was species number 102 for the year and the 132nd species seen in Iceland for me!
